They’re winning close, but they’re still winning. Woodstock Academy remains on top of the HNIB News Connecticut Division III top 10 with one-goal wins over Housatonic/Northwestern and Hall/Southington this week. The Centaurs have a rematch Monday against Division II Staples/Weston/Shelton, which they beat 3-0 to start the season.

No. 2 Lyman Hall/HK/Coginchaug got a big win against Division II Hand in overtime before a loss to Division II North Haven. The Trojans finally play a Division III team this week, hosting No. 7 WMRP on Wednesday. WMRP had a Division II loss of its own, to Farmington, after a win over Norwalk.

No. 3 Wilton lost to John Jay of New York, while the team it beat to open the year, No. 4 Newtown, kept a run going with wins over Barlow and No. 5 Trinity Catholic. No. 6 BCR, No. 9 Hall/Southington and No. 10 BBD didn’t come home with a win this week, but those were mostly against higher-level competition. No. 8 Masuk hosts Sheehan on Wednesday, its first game in 13 days.
