Mostly status quo in HNIB News Connecticut Division II top 10 after a week that mostly went to the chalk, except for one team that jumps up into the rankings: No. 10 Watertown/-Pomperaug started the week with hat tricks by Ryan Dunfee and Troy Harwell leading them past BBD, then beat Westhill/Stamford and Hand solidly. A couple of tests this week include Cheshire and Fairfield.

No. 1 East Haven, No. 3 Guilford and No. 4 North Branford won their only games this week. No. 6 Conard, No. 9 South Windsor and No. 2 Cheshire all lost, but to Division I teams.

No. 5 New Fairfield/Immaculate shut out North Haven, outshooting the Indians 32-11, and bested Westhill/Stamford as well. No. 8 Trumbull lost two, but to North Branford and Division I St. Joseph.

No. 7 Amity, meanwhile, returns from a Christmas-break trip to Europe. The Spartans face Wilton on Wednesday.
