Three wins in which they outscored opponents by a 21-4 margin, coupled with key losses by some other clubs, propels Sheehan (13-2-0) back into the #1 spot in this week’s HNIB News Connecticut D3 Top 10.

A big win over previous #1 Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug, followed by an 8-3 win over Barlow, brings the Eastern CT Eagles (9-2-2) up to #2.

The two teams – Sheehan and Eastern CT Eagles – will play each other this Wednesday (8pm – Connecticut College). Sheehan will also see #4 Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug (12-5-0) on Saturday, while the Eagles also take on the Redhawks (Monday) and Milford (Saturday).

#3 Staples (10-3-2) tied Westhill/Stamford in its only action of the past week. A tough week sees Staples challenging Division 1 heavies Greenwich (Wednesday) and Ridgefield (Saturday).

The Trojans, who fell to Branford as well, look to rebound against BBD on Wednesday, before the Sheehan matchup.

Up to #5 is WMRP (9-5-1), which beat E.O. Smith/Tolland (6-2) and Shepaug (6-0). WMRP has the Redhawks (Wednesday) and BCR (Friday) on this week’s docket.
