Although Daniel Hand (10-1-1) did not play this past week, the Tigers have vaulted into the #1 spot in this week’s HNIB News Connecticut D3 Top 10. They will have a couple of formidable tests this week against a pair of Division 2 powers. They meet Watertown-Pomperaug on Monday (in a game postponed from last week) and face off against Guilford Saturday.
#2 Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug (10-3-0) saw its nine game unbeaten streak come to an end after losing to North Branford (5-4) on Saturday and falling out of the top spot. The Trojans get #8 Newtown on Monday and Amity on Wednesday.
Newington Co-op (10-4-0) rises to #3. Following a tough loss to Cheshire, they bounced back nicely with a solid win over the Northeastern Shamrocks.
#4 Sheehan (9-4-1) was also idle this week. The Titans have three games on tap this upcoming week against North Branford (Monday), BBD (Wednesday) and North Haven (Saturday).
#7 Wilton (7-3-1) looks to bounce back after back-to-back losses. They face Shepaug-Litch. on Monday, Trumbull on Wednesday and Division 1 foe New Canaan Saturday.
