A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. Including a recent 3-0 win over Sheehan, new #1 Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug (10-2-0) now has nine straight victories. The Trojans look to keep the streak going Wednesday against #5 JBWA and Saturday against North Branford.

#2 Daniel Hand (10-1-1) is keeping pace, posting some impressive wins lately. The Tigers have a stern test Wednesday against D2 power Watertown-Pomperaug.

#3 Sheehan (9-4-1) also lost to the Eastern CT Eagles and beat Newtown. The Titans take on North Branford on Wednesday.

Newington Co-op remains solid at #4. They did lose to WMRP but responded with a big win over BBD. They have a key test with Cheshire Wednesday.

Up to #5 this week is JBWA (7-3-0) after solid wins over New Milford and Newtown. #6 Tri-Town also is on the move, going 3-0-1 over its last four.
