Expect a highly-competitive season in Connecticut Division 3 hockey, with any one of a handful of teams capable of taking home the hardware in March. There will also be a new champion, with the Eastern CT Eagles having moved up to D2.

We will go with Tri-Town (16-9-1) as the preseason #1 in the HNIB New preseason poll. The Terrorcats have some guys that can put the puck in the net, and, like most good teams, are solid in the nets with senior Peyton Emrick.

#2 Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug (15-6-1) had several impressive outings a year ago, and possess what could be the top offensive performer in the division in senior forward Kyle Roberts.

#3 Sheehan (19-5-0) will certainly put up a bunch of goals with the likes of senior Jake Festa and the Romanos (sophomores Joe and Anthony). And, the Titans return Tyler Robertson in the cage.

At #4 Staples (16-7-1), Charles Halloran has moved up to head coach and has some work to do filling in some key holes in the roster due to graduation. The Wreckers reached the semifinal round last winter.

#5 Newington Co-op (14-9-0) will be a threat if they can get some solid goaltending after graduating a pair of senior netminders. Coach Dave Harackiewicz has some offensive firepower to work with.
