No. 1 Branford bounced back from its first loss with its second win of the year against No. 9 Hand. The Hornets are scheduled to meet No. 3 North Branford on Wednesday at Northford, a game that could re-order the top of the HNIB News Connecticut Division Two poll, but Tuesday’s blizzard could change that scheduling.

No. 4 Conard won the game of the week, beating No. 5 Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks, 2-1, behind Alexander Khan’s 28 saves, leading to the teams swapping spots in the poll.

Branford also is set to play No. 6 New Milford on Saturday; the Green Wave took a 5-3 loss to Wilton this week, their first defeat in six games, but came back with a 2-0 win over neighbor rival New Fairfield/Immaculate.

No. 7 Cheshire came from behind to beat No. 8 North Haven, 5-2. The Rams face Milford this week, while North Haven has games scheduled with Hand and North Branford.

North Branford rolled against Trinity Catholic and Lyman Hall/HK, while No. 2 Fairfield fell to Division One Darien, 6-1.
