The last Division I unbeatens fell this week, leaving a still-jumbled picture that, with a couple of Hamden losses, drops our last-week No. 1 all the way down to No. 7. The Green Dragons lost to Xavier and No. 10 West Haven by a combined 11-5.

No. 1 Darien, on the strength of that early-season win over No. 2 Fairfield Prep, grabs the top spot with the Jesuits and No. 3 Notre Dame-West Haven right there. No. 6 New Canaan didn’t quite avenge an early loss to Darien, but it did get a 1-1 rematch this week.

Fairfield Prep got a shutout from Jack Taubl over Rhode Island’s La Salle this week, and Notre Dame-West Haven stayed unbeaten since the opener with a win over previously unbeaten No. 4 East Haven.

The Yellowjackets took that blemish after improving to 8-0. No. 5 Notre Dame-Fairfield struggled in the second period of a loss to Fairfield Prep after a decent start to that game.

Simsbury dropped to 4-3 after losses to West Haven and No. 8 Glastonbury.
