A hiccup for East Catholic atop Hockey Night In Boston’s Connecticut boys Division II poll; a 2-1 loss to Fermi/Enfield, following up a huge win over Glastonbury, left the Eagles 1-2-1 in a four-game stretch. But they came back with wins over Conard and Simsbury.

Branford rolled to easy wins, while North Haven split two games, including a loss to an East Haven team that has hung out in the top 10 just about all year. Trinity Catholic, though, dropped two out of three, including a 4-2 defeat by North Branford.

Amity won a couple, including a 6-3 win over Hand, pushing to five the Spartans’ winning streak against Division II teams. Their last loss was to Cheshire, which split this week, beating Guilford but losing to Division I West Haven.

Milford earned two key wins this week, beating Fairfield 1-0 and taking down New Milford 3-2 on Zach White’s overtime power-play goal, completing a hat trick.

Newington/Berlin/Manchester is unbeaten in 10 after a 7-3 win over Suffield.
