Another week of upsets and games among close competitors, this time right to the top, in Connecticut.

Notre Dame (Fair)
What to do with the top four (and the bottom three) in Hockey Night In Boston’s Connecticut boys Division I poll? Darien, winner of 14 in a row, falls to resurgent Notre Dame-Fairfield 2-1 on goals by Tyler Henchcliffe and Jonny Suporn and 30 saves from Zak Bouve.
Still, the Lancers are 1-3 against Notre Dame-West Haven and Fairfield Prep. But the win was 6-2 over the Green Knights this week, and the Green Knights turned around and beat Fairfield Prep 3-0 behind Wade Conlan’s 30 saves and two Ryan Lynch goals.
While Ridgefield (just barely, twice) and New Canaan (handily, against lower-division opposition) kept winning, as did East Haven (ditto, though very good lower-division opposition), Xavier did not, falling to West Haven, which also handled Cheshire.
But Glastonbury won a couple of games to rebound from an overtime loss the week before to East Catholic.
Darien and Ridgefield were the first two schools to wrap up their regular seasons, ready for the conference tournaments. Just two weeks remain until the state tournament.
