Things are starting to get tighter at the top of the Boys Prep hockey world as we sit with just about a month left in the regular season.

#1 Salisbury (15-0-1) moves on its march, taking down Gunnery (4-3) and Berkshire (5-2) to remain unbeaten. The Crimson Knights have three games this week and all will be tough: Monday vs. Brunswick, Wednesday, vs Trinity-Pawling, Thursday vs. Kent.

Make it eight straight wins for #2 Rivers (18-1-2), which dispatched Roxbury Latin (6-3), Nobles (4-0) and Middlesex (4-0) this week. The Red Wings take on Groton (Wednesday) and then Belmont Hill (Saturday).

#3 Kimball Union (19-4-1) climbs to #3 after a week that saw the Wildcats hold off Phillips Exeter (4-3) and down Tilton (6-1). A huge matchup looms Wednesday with impressive Northfield. Then, KUA gets Holderness (Friday) and New Hampton (Saturday) in Lakes Region play.

Although it was idle this past week, Milton Academy (11-2-1) jumps up a spot to #4. The Mustangs swing back into action this week against St. Sebastian’s (Wednesday) and Roxbury Latin (Saturday).

After falling to KUA, #5 Phillips Exeter (17-3-1) also fell to Cushing (5-2) before beating BB&N (7-3). The Big Red look ahead to Holderness (Wednesday), Berwick (Friday) and Tilton (Saturday).

#6 Dexter Southfield (12-4-2) won a pair this week, besting St. George’s (7-2) before surviving St. Mark’s (5-4). A three game week sees DS battle Brooks (Monday), Pomfret (Wednesday) and Andover (Saturday).

#7 Gunnery (13-6-2) rebounded from the Salisbury loss (in OT by the way) to grab wins over Vermont Academy (7-0) and Hill School (2-1). The Highlanders face Millbrook Wednesday.

Wins over Cushing (1-0) and Tilton (2-1) makes it nine straight wins for #8 Northfield (17-2-3). The Hoggers are ready for Wednesday’s showdown with KUA.

#9 Cushing (15-6-1) rebounded from the Northfield loss with the huge win over Exeter. The Penguins are on the road to Tilton (Wednesday) and Vermont Academy (Friday).

Red-hot Winchendon (11-3-3) cracks the top 10 as wins this week over Andover (6-4), Hebron (6-1) and Canterbury (8-1) makes it seven victories in their last eight. The Wapiti face off with Hoosac School (Wednesday) and Albany Academy (Saturday).

Rounding out this week’s Top 15 are #11 Westminster (10-5-0), #12 Trinity Pawling (8-4-3), #13 Brunswick (9-7-3), #14 Williston (10-6-2) and #15 Lawrence Academy (11-7-1).
