When Lawrence Academy and Dexter Southfield met Saturday for the third time this season, the outcome will play a big role in shaping this week’s HNIB News Boys Prep Top 15.

In the previous two contests, the teams had each won. The game went Lawrence Academy‘s way, as the Spartans took an impressive 6-2 win and vaulted back into the #1 spot. LA will take on Belmont Hill (Wednesday) and Hebron (Saturday).

#2 Salisbury (15-2-1) had been in the top spot, but the Crimson Knights fell to Berkshire (4-2), and followed that up with a 6-5 last-minute win over Gunnery. A Wednesday date with Trinity Pawling is the only action of the week for the Knights.

#3 Avon Old Farms (16-2-0) had an impressive week, knocking out wins over Westminster (3-1), Loomis Chaffee (7-0) and Choate (4-1). The Winged Beavers get Westminster again on Wednesday.

Up a spot to #4 is Kimball Union (18-5-1). The Wildcats had wins over Phillips Exeter (4-1) and Tilton (5-4) and look ahead to Northfield (Wednesday), Holderness (Friday) and New Hampton (Saturday).

Dexter Southfield (17-3-0) checks in at #5 this week, due in a large part to the success the teams above them have had. Pomfret (Wednesday) and Andover (Saturday) provided this week’s competition.

#6 Brunswick (16-4-2) is up a spot and currently riding a five-game winning streak after blanking Williston 4-0. The Bruins take on Lawrenceville (Wednesday) and Albany Academy (Friday) this week.

Another team continuing to move up is #7 Nobles (12-4-2). The Bulldogs rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie #8 St. Sebastian’s (4-4) and also downed Rivers (6-3). Nobles has a key tilt Wednesday with Thayer and sees Tabor on Friday.

St. Sebastian’s (12-4-1) dropped a couple of spots this week, having also lost a Keller Division matchup to Thayer (5-1). The Arrows stay in the Keller Division this week with Milton (Wednesday) and St. Mark’s (Saturday).

#9 Cushing (13-6-3) had a tie with Northfield (1-1) and wins over Worcester Academy (9-1) and Exeter (2-1). The Penguins have games this week with Hoosac (Wednesday) and Vermont Academy (Friday).

St. Mark’s (12-2-1) climbs back into the top 10 this week after posting wins over Middlesex (6-2), Proctor (4-1) and Tabor (4-3). The Lions face Roxbury Latin (Wednesday) and Pingree (Friday) before seeing St. Sebastian’s.

Rounding out this week’s Top 15 are Hotchkiss (11-4-1) at #11, Loomis Chaffee (11-3-3) at #12, New Hampton (16-6-2) at #13, Millbrook (16-7-0) at #14 and Tilton (10-5-3) at #15.
