Post-season playoff pairings will be announced next Sunday, February 24th and it looks like the Elite Tournament is rounding into form. Once those eight spots have been finalized. the Large School and Small School tournaments will be announced.

#1 Salisbury (21-4-1) was actually idle this week after Saturday’s game with Avon Old Farms was called off due to illness and may not be made up. The Knights take on Hotchkiss (Wednesday) and Canterbury (Saturday).

It was three more wins for #2 Dexter Southfield (19-3-4), downing Berwick (9-1), Winchendon (4-2) and Kents Hill (6-0). Coach Dan Donato’s crew, 13-0-2 in its last 15 games, closes out the regular season against Pingree (Wednesday) and Hoosac (Friday).

#3 Kimball Union (25-5-2) had a win (5-2) and tie (1-1)  in a home-and-home with Cushing and also beat Proctor (5-2). The Wildcats, two-time defending Elite champions, will get ready for the Lakes Region Tournament beginning Friday.

#4 St. Sebastian’s (22-4-0) and #5 Lawrence Academy (16-2-6) meet for the second time on Wednesday with a Keller Division title in the balance. The Arrows close out the regular season Friday against Thayer. The Spartans, who fell 1-0 Saturday against St. Mark’s, still have Milton (Monday) and Tabor (Saturday).

#6 Gunnery (21-4-2) should be OK with regards to the Elite Tournament. The Highlanders had a week that saw a tie with Canterbury (3-3) and wins over Pomfret (3-1) and Brunswick (6-1). A key game looms Wednesday with Westminster. Berkshire is on tap for Saturday.

#7 Northfield (20-5-2) is playing as well as anyone, coming off a week that included wins over Exeter (3-2), Loomis Chaffee (4-1) and Choate (7-1). The Hoggers take on Andover (Wednesday) and Hoosac (Saturday).

A 4-1 win over Loomis Chaffee and 2-2 tie with Berkshire was #8 Westminster‘s (13-5-4) week. The Martlets, still hoping to grab an Elite spot, will see Belmont Hill Friday and a big one with Deerfield on Saturday.

#9 Tilton (18-6-0) had a tough 7-5 loss to Brewster Academy, followed up by an 8-0 win over Hebron. The Rams will face Vermont Academy Wednesday then have the Lakes Region Tournament this weekend.

In addition to Westminster, #10 Deerfield (14-8-1) has Kent on Wednesday. Kent (13-7-2) jumps into this week’s rankings at #13.
