It was a crazy week in Boys Prep School Hockey, one that saw three of the top four teams in last week’s HNIB News Boys Prep Top 15 poll go down in defeat.

And maybe even crazier, the one of those teams that didn’t lose, #1 Salisbury (14-2-0), saw itself facing a four-goal deficit Saturday against Kent, only to roar back for a 7-6 win. The Knights also bested Trnity-Pawling (5-2) and remain at the top.

When the dust settled, Lawrence Academy (8-0-5) jumped up to #2. The unbeaten Spartans did tie Nobles (3-3), They face Governor’s Academy (Wednesday) and  Tabor (Friday) and a big one with Dexter Southfield (Saturday).

#3 Gunnery (14-3-1) beat Trinity Pawling (3-1) before coming up shot against Millbrook (5-4).

Look who the Highlanders get Wednesday? Salisbury. Should be a good one.

#4 Kimball Union (16-5-0) took out its frusrations from a loss to Deerfield (Wednesday) be crunching Brewster Academy (13-1 Friday) and Stanstead College (5-0 Saturday). A rugged week is on tap, with #10 Exeter (Wednesday) and #5 Tilton (Friday).

The Rams (14-2-0) had a nice Lakes Region week, knocking off Holderness, Brewster Academy and Proctor. They also have New Hampton (Wednesday) and Northfield (Saturday).

#6 Avon Old Farms (10-3-1) rebounded from a loss to Northfield with a 3-1 verdict of Berkshire. The Winged Beavers have a three-game week: Monday vs. Westminster, Wednesday vs. Loomis Chaffee and Saturday vs Choate.

#7 Dexter Southfield (11-3-3) appears to have found its mojo, coming off a successful week that included wins over Andover (4-0), Thayer (2-1) and Brooks (3-0). St George’s is next up on Wednesday before the showdown with Lawrence Academy.

#8 St. Sebastian’s (12-4-0) blanked Governors Academy (4-0) in its only game this week. The Arrows will see Nobles (Wednesday) and Thayer (Friday) in Keller Division play.

Wins over BB&N (6-0) and Brooks (4-3) have Rivers (12-4-0) at #9. The Redwings will be busy with Roxbury Latin (Wednesday), Nobles (Friday) and Middlesex (Saturday).

Phillips Exeter (11-4-2) gets back to the Top 10, beating Tabor (4-1) in its only action (a Saturday game with Hotchkiss was postponed).

Northfield (12-4-0) jumps up to #12 this week, while makings it debut at #14 is Proctor (12-6-1)
