The three Boys Prep New England championship games are now set for Sunday, March 8th. All three games are at Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

ELITE 8 SEMIFINALS
* Salisbury will be making its third straight trip to the New England final after the Crimson Knights rallied three times from one-goal deficits and then beat #2 seed Avon Old Farms 4-3 in overtime. Matt DeBoer was the hero for Salisbury, scoring 2:08 into extra time. Down 3-2 late, Jake Quillan tied it for the Crimson Knights with a little of 2 minutes remaining. Tommy Rooney and Lucas Mercuri also had goals for the winners. J.P. Turner, Gentry Shamburger and Timur Alishlalov had goals for the Winged Beavers.

Dexter Southfield
* Continuing its strong late-season play, Dexter Southfield advanced to the Elite final with a 3-0 shutout win over Berkshire, ending the Bears nine-game winning streak. Jack Dempsey and Doug Grimes had second period goals for DS, with John Fusco sealing it with a late third period strike.

Cushing
MARTIN/EARL TOURNAMENT (Large School)
* Down 2-1 late in second period, top-seeded Cushing scored three unanswered goals, the last one into an open net, to defeat St. Sebastian’s 4-2. Shane Zarcone, Billy Norcross, Cody Sealey and Max Dorrington each had a goal for the Penguins. Brendan Dumas and Cam Collins countered for the Arrows.
* Third-seeded Loomis Chaffee went on the road and posted an impressive 5-2 win over second-seeded Brunswick. Five different players scored for the Pelicans – Cody Hoban, Mathieu Schneider, Luke Steele, Rory Andriole and Alex Krause.

Pomfret
SIMMONS/PIATELLI TOURNAMENT (Small School)
* There would be no comeback this time from fourth-seeded Groton, which had rallied from four goals down in its quarterfinal match with Tilton for a win. Eighth-seeded Pomfret won its second straight over an Eberhart Divison foe, blanking the Zebras, 4-0. Pomfret got goals from Declan Chapman, Jake Hughes, Sami Hakkarainen and Kyle Tomaso (ENG) in the win.
* Gunnery also took care of an Eberhart Division foe, downing Rivers, 5-2. The Highlanders jumped out to a 4-0 lead midway through the second period.
