Alex Gonfrade’s goal on an assist from Everett Misto won it and Ryan Forget earned the shutout with 36 saves for the Mounties
South Kingstown 3, Toll Gate 1
South Kingstown took a 2-0 lead on goals from Evan Adams and Robert Sprague and held on for the win. Sean Egan cut the lead to 2-1 but Joshua Pelton iced it with a goal in the third period.
Moses Brown 4, Burrillville 2
Jake Studley scored twice, and Chase Harrington and Zach DeCosta added the others as Moses Brown doubled up Burrillville. Ryan Deschamps and Ryan Boutiette had the goals for the losers.
Nick DiMuccio and Robert Dooley scored and Justin Spencer got the win with 11 saves. Tyler Varin put Smithfield ahead, 1-0, in the first. Hogan Nelson made 29 saves in the loss.
Bishop Hendricken 4, Mount St. Charles 1
Alex Pratt gave the Mounties the lead, but Hendricken took over from there. The winners scored four unanswered goals from four different players – Cam Toussiant, Jacob Paolino, Brett Berard and Peter Krekorian.
Coventry 7, Toll Gate 2
Coventry built a commanding 7-0 lead in this one before Toll Gate got a couple of goals from Will Fox late. Kyle Wheeler and Patrick Egan led the way with two goals each for the winners. Robert Thayer, Jacob Organ and Eli Benjamin also had tallies. Kolye Bankauskas had three assists.
West Warwick/Exeter/West Greenwich 6, Pilgrim 5
In this back-and-forth battle, WW/E/WG had the last laugh as Ernesto Watsky scored at 9:48 of the final period on a feed from Brenden Coski for the final and game-winning goal. Pilgrim’s Collin Driscoll had tied it four minutes earlier. It was his second goal of the night. Jack Clements, AJ Sherlock and Andrew Canning also had goals for Pilgrim. Nicholas Pecchia had a hat trick for the winners, and Matthew Henault and Watsky (two) had the others. Coski added three assists.
Mount Hope 10, Narragansett/Chariho 2
Mount Hope scored five goals in the first, built a 7-0 lead in the second and cruised. Jack Dolan and Cam Rancourt, who have combined for nearly 30 goals already, did most of the damage for the winners. Dolan had four goals and three assists, and Rancourt added two goals and four assists. Keegan Hanley also had a productive night with a goal and three assists. John McGreen and Austin Pratt had the goals for the losers.
