No. 1 Lewiston remains the top team in Class A after a scare Saturday night as they needed overtime to defeat Biddeford in their lone game of the holiday week. They start 2018 with a rivalry game on New Year’s night with St. Dom’s while hosting Falmouth on Wednesday. They finish the first week of 2018 as they travel to Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse.

No. 2 Cheverus had the week off as they face Portland/Deering on New Year’s night and face Scarborough on Thursday night.

No. 3 Falmouth drops one spot as they suffered a 4-2 loss to Biddeford. They face rival Greely on New Year’s night before taking on Lewiston while hosting Portland/Deering on Saturday.

No. 4 St. Dom’s hosted their Christmas tournament and opened it up with a regular season victory over Edward Little. After crossing the bridge from Auburn to Lewiston to take on the Blue Devils they host Bangor on Wednesday and travel down to Thornton Academy.

No. 5 Biddeford started the week with a 4-2 victory over the Yachtsmen before almost pulling the upset over Lewiston. They have rival Thornton Academy on Jan. 2 before hosting Scarborough on Saturday.

No. 6 Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester defeated Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth 6-5 in overtime in their lone game of the week. The Kings face Edward Little on Wednesday while having a rematch with the Rams on Saturday.

No. 7 Portland/Deering defeated York 4-2 in their lone game of the week. They have Cheverus on Monday, Thornton Academy on Thursday and Falmouth on Saturday.

No. 8 Bangor had a 4-3 overtime win over Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse.They travel to Auburn to take on St. Dom’s on Wednesday before taking on Brewer on Saturday.

No. 9 Edward Little drops three spots after losing their lone regular-season game of the week to St. Dom’s. They face Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester on Wednesday before traveling to Cape Elizabeth on Thursday.

No. 10 Thornton Academy had the week off, other than travelling to Reading MA for an exhibition game this past Saturday. They start the week with Biddeford, before facing Portland/Deering and face St. Dom’s on Saturday.
