#1 Vermont Academy (21-2-1) won all three of its games, over Proctor (3-1), Albany Academy (7-0) and Northfield (4-2) to keep the #1 spot in this week’s HNIB News Girls Prep D2 Top 10. The Wildcats battle Tilton (Wednesday) and Exeter (Friday) before a big one with Worcester Academy (Saturday).

#2 Brooks (8-5-5) lost a pair of games to D1 opponents Milton Academy (5-3) and Nobles (1-0) and also beat Thayer (3-0), The Bishops have Holderness (Wednesday) and St. George’s (Saturday) this week.

Rivers (13-3-0) moves up to #3 after a win over Tilton (3-0). The Red Wings have a crucial battle with #4 Worcester Academy (13-4-1) on Wednesday, then take on D1 opponents Milton Academy (Friday) and St. Mark’s (Saturday).

Obviously a big week for Worcester Academy, which beat Dexter Southfield (3-0) and lost to Winchendon (5-1).

#5 Gunnery (8-7-1) is set for Millbrook (Wednesday) and Greenwich Academy (Saturday) after a loss to Loomis Chaffee.

#6 Kimball Union (11-4-4) beat Brewster Academy (2-1) and Proctor (3-1). The Wildcats have Exeter (Wednesday) and Berwick (Friday) this week.

#7 St. George’s (8-6-0) battled Nobles in a 3-1 loss before blanking Kents Hill (6-0). The Dragons also have BB&N Wednesday.

Greenwich Academy (11-6-0) slides up to #8 after going 3-1 in a four-game week. The Gators remain busy with games against Rye Country Day (Monday), Taft (Wednesday) and Gunnery (Saturday).

#9 Canterbury (14-8-1) broke a modest losing streak with a win over Kents Hill (5-1). The Saints take on Kent (Wednesday), Hebron (Saturday) and Kents Hill again (Sunday).

Berwick (10-6-2) breaks into the poll at #10 after a wins over Proctor (1-0) and Newton Country Day (7-0) make it 6-0-1 in it last seven.
