#1 Vermont Academy (23-2-1) survived another Division 2 showdown Saturday, taking a 4-3 overtime win over #4 Worcester Academy. The Wildcats also outgunned D1 Exeter 8-5.  Two more key D2 games loom this week with #6 Gunnery Wednesday and #5 Kimball Union Friday. Tilton provided the opposition on Saturday.

#2 Brooks (10-5-5) won big, 6-0 over Holderness, and small, 2-1 over St. George’s. The Bishops have Groton (Wedneday) and Middlesex (Friday).

One of the hottest teams in the division is #3 Rivers (15-3-0). The Red Wings posted impressive wins over a pair of D1 opponents: Milton Academy (4-0) and St. Mark’s (4-1). They have Governors Academy (Wednesday) and Proctor (Saturday).

Worcester Academy (13-5-1) looks to get back on track this week against Winchendon (Wednesday), Holderness (Friday) and Phillips Andover (Saturday).

Kimball Union (12-4-4) inches up to #5 after a 2-1 win over #10 Berwick. The Wildcats take on Tilton (Wednesday) and Hebron (Saturday) around the big Vermont Academy battle.

#6 Gunnery (8-7-2) played to a 1-1 standoff with #7 Greenwich Academy (12-6-1). The Highlanders are ready for Vermont Academy (Wednesday).

The Gators’ only action this week is a game against Darien HS on Wednesday.

#8 St. George’s (8-8-0) lost a pair of tough ones – 1-0 to BB&N and 2-1 to Brooks. The Dragons have Milton (Wednesday) and Groton (Saturday).

#9 Canterbury (15-9-1) fell to D1’s #1 team Kent (7-0), then beat Hebron (4-2). This week, the Saints have Millbrook (Wednesday).

Berwick (10-7-2) stays put at #10. This week it gets Winsor (Wednesday) and New Hampton (Friday).
