Girls Prep D1 Top 10
Anyone who thought that a long layoff could pose an issue for Tabor couldn’t have been more wrong. The Seawolves (10-0-1) returned from break with two more wins, over D2 heavyweight Brooks (7-3) and New Hampton (3-0).
They have league games with Thayer and Milton before a key home game with Loomis Chaffee on Saturday.
Nobles (11-0-3) stays at #2, following up a 2-2 tie with Rivers with shutout wins over Middlesex (5-0) and Berkshire (4-0). The ‘Dawgs travel to Winchendon on Wednesday and get Exeter on Saturday.
Up a few notches to #3 is Williston (12-1-1). The Wildcats had a big week, knocking off Berkshire (3-0), St. Mark’s (5-0) and Gunnery (6-1). They host Dexter Southfield on Wednesday, then have a huge tilt Saturday at #5 Kent.
#4 Loomis Chaffee (6-2-4) had a big win over Kent, then were tied up by Hotchkiss (1-1). Prior to facing top-ranked Tabor, the Pelicans have Westminster (Monday) and Taft (Wednesday).
Kent rebounded from the loss to defeat Lawrenceville (4-1). The Lions are at Pomfret Wednesday before seeing Williston.
#6 St. Paul’s (11-2-1) lost a two-goal, third period lead and fell to #7 Phillips Andover in overtime Saturday. They will be at Kimball Union Friday.
The Big Blue (5-1-3) get Lawrence Academy (Wednesday) and St. Mark’s (Saturday) this week.
BB&N (5-3-1) climbs up to #8 after rallying to tie #9 New Hampton (8-3-1) on Friday after falling to St. Paul’s by a goal. The Knights take on Rivers Wednesday and Winchendon Saturday. The Huskies have Deerfield Friday and Pomfret Saturday.
Taft (5-3-1) works its way back into this week’s Top 10. The Rhinos have won four straight games. After seeing Loomis Chaffee on Wednesday, Taft travels to Deerfield Saturday.
