Girls Prep D1 Poll
Nobles (31-1-1) started last season in an uncharacteristic way, going 0-1-1 in its first two games. But, the Bulldawgs finished the year winning their last 31 games and regaining the Girls Prep D1 championship.
The Bulldawgs lost some firepower from that club, but return a host of younger players that had key roles in the title run, and a three-year starter in goal in Kelly Pickreign. Nobles will start the season as #1 in the HNIB News Girls Prep pre-season D1 Top 10.
A semifinalist last year, #2 Kent (19-3-1) brought in a bunch of talent to mesh with the returning group, giving the Lions as much depth as anyone. They will continue to play their defensive style of game.
#3 Williston (21-3-1) was also a semifinalist last year. Don’t expect the Wildcats to backslide at all.
Despite a 15-5-4 overall record last year, #4 Tabor just missed out on making the post-season. The Seawolves have talented players back all over the ice, and feature no less than six Division I committed players. Keep an eye on them.
#5 Phillips Andover (15-3-5) had a banner season last winter and return the bulk of that club, hoping to do bigger things this winter.
