With the season over, the Lewiston High School Blue Devils finish the year on top with their thrilling 2-1 victory over No. 2 Scarborough Red Storm for the Class A State Championship.

Finishing third in the rankings is Falmouth which lost to Scarborough in the Class A South Regional Finals. St. Dominic Academy, the Class A North regional final runner up finishes the year as the fourth rank team.

NNE-Festival-Ad-300x250Rounding out the top five is Thornton Academy. The Trojans have a bright future as freshman goaltender Seth Dube played very well in his first season of high school hockey. Bangor is the sixth ranked team as they fell in the North Regional semifinals to Lewiston.

Cheverus saw their season end in the South regional finals against Scarborough and have finished seventh in the final poll. Edward Little‘s season ended for the second straight season to St. Dom’s and finish eighth in the poll.

Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth probably had an unlucky break as they were one of the first teams to have their regular season end and had a little extra time before the playoffs begun. They dropped a 4-3 decision to EL in the Northern quarterfinals to end the year ninth.

Windham/Westbrook had an outstanding year with 13 wins playing Tier II schedule, but season ended in the Northern Maine quarters against Bangor.
