The final HNIB News Girls D2 Prep rankings have a different look than the poll at the end of the regular season, a testament to the parity in the D2 prep ranks.

Worcester Academy (20-6-1), winners of the New England title, the first in the school’s brief history of womens hockey, takes the #1 spot.

Gunnery (13-13-1), which fell to Worcester in the title game, didn’t have a great overall record, but played the majority of its season against D1 competition.

#3 Thayer (17-10-4) had a huge quarterfinal win over Kimball Union and battled Worcester hard in a semifinal matchup.

Defending champion St. George’s (11-10-2) did beat Rivers in a quarterfinal game but saw its dream of a repeat title vanquished by Gunnery in the semifinals.
