EMass Division 3 Top 10
|5||Coyle & Cassidy||9||6||3||1|
|10||St. Joseph Prep/Marian||NR||8||2||1|
Consider this week a small victory for the North. They now have three teams in the Top 10 as opposed to just a single entry.
No. 3 Cambridge and No. 10 St. Joseph Prep/Marian stormed into the poll this week to give No. 4 Lowell company. Lowell was the lone North team last week.
It’s still the South’s division, though.
No. 1 Hanover rolled this past week with wins over Westwood (4-2), Whitman-Hanson (6-1) and Silver Lake (7-1). Hanover now has 57 goals on the season while allowing just 19.
No. 2 Rockland kept pace with the No. 1 team, netting three wins. It beat Whitman-Hanson, 5-3, East Bridgewater, 10-2, and Abington, 7-0.
Cambridge stormed back into the poll. It must have felt slighted being left out of the poll last week. whatever the reason, Cambridge made a huge statement with a 7-0 win over Lowell Tuesday. It was Lowell’s first loss.
No. 5 Coyle & Cassidy only had one game but made it count with a 3-0 win over a team that was in front of it in the poll last week, Bishop Stang.
No. 6 Hopkinton took care of business in an easy week, beating Westwood, 4-1, and Ashland, 7-0.
No. 7 Bourne had just one game and showed no rust, beating Somerset Berkley, 6-0.
No. 8 Norwell held serve with two wins — 5-3 over Abington and 6-2 over Hull/Middleboro.
No. 9 Holliston fell to Medway, 3-0, and rallied to beat Bellingham, 7-1.
St. Joseph Prep topped Minuteman, 4-2, St. Bernard’s, 3-1, and Newton South, 5-4.
