A week that included a pair of solid wins – 8-1 over East Haven Co-op and 5-1 over St. Joseph – keeps Watertown/Pomperaug (5-1-2) at the summit of this week’s HNIB News Connecticut D2 Top 10. The Indians take on Rye Country Day on Friday and host Masuk on Saturday.

Keeping pace at #2 is Guilford (6-2-0), which also beat St. Joseph (10-6) and West Haven (5-4). The Indians, who have 53 goals already on the season, host North Branford on Wednesday.

#3 Branford (4-1-2) has been hot lately, most recently with a 5-1 conquest of Cheshire and a 2-2 deadlock with NFI. The Hornets host #7 Amity in a key D2 tilt on Saturday.

Wins over East Catholic and Simsbury propel Farmington Valley (4-2-1) up to #4. The Generals face #8 WMRP on Wednesday and #9 Glastonbury (3-2-1) on Saturday.

#5 Cheshire (5-2-0) rebounded from the loss to Branford by beating East Haven. The Rams are at West Haven (Wednesday).

#6 South Windsor (5-3-0) had a win (Glastonbury) and a loss (Conard) this past week. A return match with Conard looms on Thursday for the Bobcats.

Amity is still unbeaten at 6-0-0, but get Notre Dame of West Haven Wednesday before the Branford game. WMRP will see Northeastern on Saturday.

Rounding out this week’s top 10 are Glastonbury and East Catholic at #10
