Connecticut D2 Semifinals: Guilford will meet Farmington Valley in state title game

* Down 1-0 entering the third period, defending D2 state champion Guilford got a pair of goals from junior Jack Ring to pull out a 2-1 win over second-seeded Watertown-Pomperaug. The Indians move on to the title game on Friday (7:30pm, Ingalls). Nick Labella had given Watertown/Pomperaug a 1-0 lead with a first period strike.

* Top-seeded Farmington Valley advanced with a 4-1 win over Conard. Tim Arena fired home three of the Generals four goals in this one. Owen Lacourciere added the other tally and a pair of assists. Conard’s goal came from Bryant Caron on a power play.

The duo - Lance LoFaro and Darby Yaeger - called the nightly broadcasts "Hockey Night in Boston". As of late, HNIBnews - over 28 years running - has kept the scholastic hockey world on its feet with its widely-read newspaper. In addition to HNIBnews, Hockey Night in Boston also hosts summer tournaments showcasing the talents of scholastic hockey.
