Connecticut D1 Quarterfinals: #1 seed Fairfield Prep rallies for 4-3 win

* Top seed Fairfield Prep found itself trailing Notre Dame of Fairfield 3-2 early in the third period before getting goals from Devin Blanchette and Joey Mancini to pull out a 4-3 win and advance to Wednesday’s semifinals. Mancini finished with two goals while Calyb Reeves also had one. Chris Becker scored a pair of goals for the Lancers, and Anthony Bouvier had the other.

* In Wednesday’s semifinals, the Jesuits will meet fifth-seeded Ridgefield, which rolled past Darien, 7-0, in its quarterfinal. The Tigers had the benefit of two goal performances from Nick Cullinan, Will Forrest and Kieran McGowan. Matt Walker added a goal as well.

* Second-seeded Greenwich Academy moved on with a 3-0 win over Northwest Catholic. William Baugher, Connor Santry and Thatcher Danielson each had a goal for the Cardinals.

*  Taking on the Cardinals in the semis will be third-seeded Xavier, which got two goals from Aden Hotchkiss in a 3-1 win over Hamden. Tony DiPreta had a key goal for the Falcons. Mason Boyhen had the lone goal for Hamden.

The duo - Lance LoFaro and Darby Yaeger - called the nightly broadcasts "Hockey Night in Boston".
